Filld sends appointment-related SMS messages to patients on behalf of dental practices. When an appointment becomes available due to a cancellation, patients who have opted into their practice's notification list are texted about the newly available slot. Messages are strictly transactional and appointment-related only — no marketing or promotional messages are ever sent.
Patients are added to a practice's fill pool only after providing explicit consent through one of the following methods:
When visiting their dental practice, patients are presented with a Communication Consent Form that includes clear SMS opt-in language:
Some practices collect consent through their patient intake forms or patient portal. The digital consent form collects the patient's mobile number and requires an explicit checkbox confirming SMS opt-in before submission.
A patient's mobile number is only added to the practice's active fill pool after signed consent is on file. Practice staff manually add the patient to the notification list through the Filld dashboard, confirming consent has been obtained.
Message frequency varies based on appointment availability at the patient's dental practice. Patients typically receive up to 5 messages per month. Messages are only sent when a relevant appointment slot becomes available.
Reply STOP to any message to immediately opt out of all future SMS communications.
Opt-out is honored within seconds and recorded permanently. No further messages will be sent.
